Full Stack Developer

As a Barclays as a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for building both front end and backend Java, ReactJS and Spring based applications for manage account product. You will work with minimal supervision, be able to understand the account business requirements and design and develop optimal solutions to cater to the needs of the projects. A Credit Card is a fundamental component of our products and critical to our partners. In the Full stack developer role, you will be adding significant value to the department by development and delivery.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. What will you be doing?

• Creating or enhancing existing channel applications using technologies such as Java, Spring, ActiveMQ
• Writing DevOps scripts for code deployment as required
• Creating or enhancing servicing frontend systems using ReactJS daily
• Supporting incidents and problems management as a level 3 support as and when required
• Writing unit/system test cases for applications as required
• Working as good team player who can work with onsite and offshore teams

What we’re looking for:

• Solid experience in backend programming language such as Java
• Solid experience on developing and Consuming Rest and SOAP API with industry standard authentication mechanism.
• Working knowledge of Micro Services and Object-Oriented design patterns
• Working knowledge of messaging systems such as Kafka, ActiveMQ

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Three to four years of experience in Java and Spring framework is preferred
• Experience with Cloud computing technologies is a HUGE plus
• Experience with event driven architecture is a plus
• Financial services and industry knowledge is preferred
